Privacy notice
ProperDev is a UK sole-trader web agency. This short notice explains what happens when you use this website or contact us. It is written to be PECR/GDPR-friendly and plain English.
Who we are
ProperDev builds websites for local UK businesses (based in Somerset; work locally and UK-wide). Contact: hello@properdev.co.uk or +44 7398 425513.
What we collect
- Enquiries via the contact form: name, business name, email, phone (if provided), package interest, and your message. These are sent to our lead CRM so we can follow up.
- Emails to hello@properdev.co.uk: if you email us, we may store the message (and create or update a CRM record) so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Calls / WhatsApp: if you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we may note your number and what you asked for in our CRM.
- Basic technical logs: if our host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not run advertising trackers on this marketing site.
Why we use it
We use enquiry and contact details to reply to you, recommend a package, keep a simple record of conversations in our CRM, and (if you become a client) deliver and support your website. Legal basis: legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and/or steps prior to a contract.
Cookies & PECR
This marketing site aims to work without non-essential cookies. If we later add analytics or similar tools that store information on your device, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for consent.
Sharing
We do not sell your details. We may use trusted providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements, for example website hosting on our VPS, our CRM application, and email delivery / inbound parsing (currently planned via Brevo) so we can send and receive business email. We will only share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and CRM records are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records (typically up to 24 months if you do not become a client, longer if needed for an ongoing project or legal reasons). You can ask us to delete your details by emailing hello@properdev.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or object to certain processing. Email hello@properdev.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO.
Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do.
